From the Final Steps of Lent to the Dawn of Resurrection
As we enter the last stretch of our Lenten journey, these final two weeks invite us to slow our pace and deepen our attention. Lent has been a season of reflection, repentance, and renewal. Now, the path narrows and becomes more intentional, drawing us closer to the heart of the Gospel story. In these closing days, we are not just remembering Christ’s journey. We are walking it.
Palm Sunday: The Paradox of Praise
Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, where celebration and tension meet. The crowds cry “Hosanna!” as Jesus enters Jerusalem, yet the shadow of the cross already lingers. It is a moment that asks something of us. Will we remain faithful when the story turns? The palms we wave are not only signs of praise, but commitments to follow wherever Christ leads.
Maundy Thursday: The Table of Love
On Maundy Thursday, we gather at the table where Jesus offers bread, cup, and a new commandment: to love one another. Our Communion service will be a quiet, sacred space in the midst of a full week. Here, grace is received and shared. We are reminded that discipleship is not only belief, but embodied love.
The Prayer Vigil: Staying Present
Following the service, we enter into a Prayer Vigil through the night and into Friday. Like the disciples in the garden, we are invited to keep watch. In a restless world, choosing to remain in prayer is a powerful act of faith. Whether for a few minutes or longer, your presence becomes part of a shared witness: that even in darkness, we do not walk alone.
Easter Sunday: Joy Uncontained
And then, Easter morning breaks forth. After the weight of the week, resurrection arrives with fullness, energy, and joy. It will be a full and vibrant morning of worship as we gather to proclaim what changes everything: Christ is risen. This is not just the end of the journey. It is the beginning of new life.
Come Walk the Way
These final weeks of Lent are a gift. An invitation to be present, to be shaped, and to be drawn more deeply into the mystery of God’s love. So come. Walk the road. Keep watch. And rise to meet the dawn. The story is unfolding, and we are part of it.
See You Sunday!
Love and Peace,
Pastor Sean
